Scared to explore being an empath?
Can I understand that fear? Sure.
But this is one fear that can be overcome relatively easily. aboard Just reading this short article might do it for you.
Keep in mind that I am committed to (if not obsessed with) integrity. I am not like one of those doctors you met during childhood, at vaccine time. You know, that kindly family physician who pulls out the needle and reassures you, “This won’t hurt a bit.”
Falsely, it turns out.
With all the skill sets I teach — and being an M.D. is definitely not among them, you kidding? — I have a major motto:
buy a heart lyrics Be sloppy… about everything but the integrity.
Another version of that would be, “Relax. No worries. Let me guide you step-by-step. All this really won’t hurt a bit.”
What does it mean to be an empath, anyway?
All it means is that you were born with at least one trainable gift for directly experiencing what it is like to be other people. You can read elsewhere about definitions for different gifts as an empath. [add link to gifts]
You can quiz yourself, too.
But here’s the bottom line. If you are ready to explore being an empath, it’s far too late to be toying with the idea as in, ”Should I or shouldn’t I?”
This isn’t like coloring your hair. It isn’t like learning how to drive a car. It isn’t, even like becoming a psychic. (Keep reading about that last one.)
The choice has already been made.
So what choice do I have now?
If you are not an empath, you can have a great life as a non-empath. That includes learning skills of Aura Reading, how to Cut Cords of Attachment, and more.
If you are an empath, you can have a great life as a Skilled Empath. Or you can have a so-so life as a merely-talented-but-not-yet-skilled Empath.
Yes, if you’re too scared to explore skills, nobody will force you to do so. You can definitely muddle through, as a “merely talented” empath.
Which is what I did for about 40 years. Or course, I didn’t call myself that. I called myself hopelessly neurotic and even permanently fucked up.
Whatever you call yourself, without skill as an empath, here is what you can expect to have happen. Or not happen. For the rest of your life you will be doing Unskilled Empath Merges with other people. You will be picking up STUFF that belongs to them and having it lodge in your personal aura. In a practical way, that means energies like:
- Fear
- Pain
- Depression
- Confusion
Optional, all of it. But the option isn’t just to scream out the word:
S…T….O….P………
Instead, you become a Skilled Empath.
This involves learning a set of skills. Once you learn them, it’s very much like learning to ride a bicycle.
Too, too weird?
And there’s nothing weirder about becoming a Skilled Empath than there is to learning how to balance and steer on a bike.
Does becoming a Skilled Empath have anything to do with being a psychic?
Nope. That’s comparing apples and oranges.
I actually make that apple & orange comparison about psychics here.
Besides that, here’s a practical point. If you have talent as a psychic and, remember… that has nothing to do at all with whether or not you have any gift(s) as an empath…
You can turn off psychic abilities any time you want. That’s the kind of learning in life where you can just say
S…T….O….P………
just as you can say, “No more lessons for me as a truck driver” or “Phooey on studying archery.” or “I refuse to spend one more measure of 3/4 time practicing scales on a piano.”
No worries. You can do that whenever you like. You can change your mind, too. Regardless of such a choice, you will still be you.
And, if you were born as an empath, you still will be set up in your soul (and your aura) as an empath for life.
